MOBILITY-IMPAIRED HUNTS

The FWC offers seven hunts on four wildlife management areas (WMA) to those hunters certified Mobility-Impaired . Theses hunts are reserved exclusively for mobility-impaired hunters. Hunters who can't walk, or can't walk without an assisting aid. Having a Disabled Persons Hunting and Fishing Certificate does not make you eligible for mobility-impaired hunts. Holton Creek WMA allows no other hunting except the mobility-impaired hunts. During these hunts, permitted hunters may bring a non-hunting helper. Vehicle access to roads and trails normally closed to hunters are opened. Holton Creek WMA hunts allow taking deer of either sex; antlerless deer permits may be issued for other hunts.

Applications for mobility-impaired hunts are mailed each year directly to hunters who have been issued a Mobility-Impaired Certification Card. Applications are available June 28. Permits are issued by random selection from applications received by the FWC July 10-26.
