Alligator research by Commission staff and others is ongoing and covers a wide array of questions and concerns.  The Commission's most pressing alligator research project, however, is a multi-disciplinary study of low alligator egg hatch rates and unexplained alligator mortality on Lake Griffin.  Click below for a summary of the problem and what we know so far.  Abstracts and reports of other completed projects can also be found below.
